How do you ask for feedback without hiding the answer in the question?

Inspect the adjectives

Calling an arrangement convenient already signals an expected response. Ask how it fits the person's circumstances and which parts do or do not work. A question mark does not neutralize an embedded judgment.

Try answering in the opposite direction

Would disagreement require correcting you first? If so, rewrite the question. Invite a description and then one example. Neutral wording can still focus on timing, process or content.

Must every question be open-ended?

No. Direct questions can confirm dates and facts; experience questions need room for explanation.
