How do you know whether friends’ feedback fits the intended users?
Compare their actual circumstances with the situation your idea addresses. Separate encouragement from relevant experience before seeking willing people whose circumstances fit.
Define conditions before choosing supporters
For information intended for people leaving night shifts, recent shift-work and planning experience matter more than similarity in age. A friend who fits can contribute. Someone who does not may still help, but with a different question.
Keep participation optional
Explain the material, time and any recording. Friendship creates no research obligation. Collect only necessary information and preserve the situations your participants do not cover.

What if nobody suitable is available?
Keep the conclusion unverified. Narrow the idea or consult public firsthand accounts rather than converting kindness into evidence.
