How do you make a curiosity project small enough to finish in a week?
Choose one uncertainty you can narrow through observation, reading or a respectful question, then produce a brief record. Aim to understand a little more, not become an expert in seven days.
Shrink an interest into a question
Understanding coffee culture is broad. Asking how a familiar café describes flavor to customers is more bounded. Use public information or questions staff are willing to answer without interrupting their work. List what you know and select two sources you can check. Keep the project within ordinary observation rather than high-stakes professional judgments.
Finish with a small card
Record the original question, two things you found and one unresolved point. If menu descriptions differ from your experience, retain that difference without declaring one automatically correct. Finish on the chosen date and save new questions for another week rather than extending collection indefinitely.
