How do you ask permission for a group photograph and its publication?
Ask separately about taking the picture, publishing it and tagging people. Explain the intended use and make staying outside the frame easy. Agreement to a photograph does not cover every later use.
Clarify before taking it
- Say what you plan to photograph and who will see it.
- Offer a practical way not to appear.
- Ask separately before publishing or tagging. A picture intended for a private conversation should not automatically become a public brand post.
Check the background too
Avoid uninvolved bystanders, name labels and visible screens. If somebody changes their mind, stop sharing within your control and discuss available remedies without promising to retrieve every downloaded copy. Do not use the rest of the group's agreement to pressure the remaining person.

Could we photograph only the objects?
Ask their owners and check for personal information. Object photographs are not automatically free of privacy concerns.
Evidence and scope
This is a consent-oriented communication workflow, not legal advice. Organised events have their own photography policies.
