Applications but No Interviews: What to Check

繁體中文版

The Weekend Club · Practical editorial guide · 2026-09-24

Separate role selection, successful submission, evidence of fit and replies before changing your approach. A total application count mixes different stages. Compare similar roles in manageable batches so each revision has a clear purpose.

Three practical steps

  1. Review a recent batch of similar roles and distinguish confirmed submissions, closed vacancies and pending replies.
  2. Match one vacancy’s essential requirements to evidence actually visible on your resume.
  3. Ask a relevant practitioner about the least clear requirement, then revise the next batch.

Make the application funnel inspectable

Applications across countries, levels and dates are not interchangeable. Check mandatory qualifications first. Where experience fits but is hard to identify, improve its presentation. Silence alone cannot identify formatting or keywords as the cause.

A filled example

Illustrative example: an operations worker separates twelve applications into customer-service and analyst roles. The analyst applications lack visible practical evidence, so they prepare a relevant sample before changing the entire resume and career direction.
