How do you revise an opinion without treating the change as total failure?

Recover the original basis

You may have assumed all beginner classes require equipment, then find one providing materials. That changes the universal claim, not every class's requirements. Compare sources rather than simply following the newest statement.

Write a checkable correction

Explain that you generalized from a few examples and will now inspect each course. That is more precise than declaring yourself incapable. If you shared incorrect information, correct the original location with the actual change.

What if sources conflict?

Compare dates, definitions and relevant groups. Preserve uncertainty when the difference remains unresolved.
