How do you compare two project versions beyond asking which looks nicer?
Give both versions the same task and observe differences in understanding. Record visual preference separately instead of turning one vote into an overall verdict.
Fix the question first
Two event cards might both need to communicate a meeting time. Preserve the essential information while comparing its arrangement. Changing copy, imagery and content together makes the result harder to interpret. List differences before looking at responses.
Separate preference from performance
Someone may prefer an illustrated card but locate the time more easily on the alternative. Preserve both observations. A small trial can also be affected by viewing order; alternating order does not turn it into a formal experiment.

Can unanimous preference settle the decision?
Check who participated and whether they answered only a taste question. Keep conclusions within the tested situation.
