Does a friend’s referral success mean you should follow the same route?
A success story suggests a route to investigate, not your probability of success. Separate discovering an opening, receiving a recommendation and meeting the employer's selection requirements.
Reconstruct the sequence
Ask where the information appeared and how the employer assessed the applicant. Forwarding a vacancy, making a formal referral and inviting someone to join are different mechanisms. Leave private details unknown rather than pressing for another person's salary or records.
Compare the conditions
List differences in role, location, experience and timing. You might borrow the action of telling willing contacts what you are looking for without assuming qualifications become irrelevant. When consulting research, check its platform and measured outcome before applying it to an offline gathering.
