A Guy Who Came 15 Times: Each Feedback Entry Feels Like Reading His Social Diary

Background
At WKND CLUB, both single and non-single people from all walks of life come to join. It is not focused on dating. Many participants are new to the city, while others are simply looking for new opportunities. At the end of each week, everyone is invited to leave feedback or write a short reflection to help us understand how to improve their experience.
This guy has joined 15 times and written 15 reflections.
1st Time
“It was my first time joining. I was so nervous before entering the restaurant that my hands were sweating. But after it started, there was no awkwardness. Everyone said I was great at keeping the energy up and that I talked the most. The truth is, I was just trying to hide how nervous I was.”
2nd Time
“There was a cool girl at my table today. She said she declutters half of her stuff every year. I was inspired and went home that night to throw out a pile of old T-shirts.”
3rd Time
“This time, everyone at the table was pretty quiet. We didn’t really click, but it still felt comfortable. One person liked to ask a lot of questions, which wasn’t a bad thing.”
4th Time
“The person sitting next to me was an architect. She talked about how spatial design can improve mental well-being. It was such a deep and meaningful conversation. Probably the most insightful session I’ve had so far. I even learned a bit about feng shui.”
5th Time
“Today’s topic was about quitting jobs. One guy, an engineer, had just resigned and moved back to Taiwan from Silicon Valley. That really hit me. If someone with such a great job can be brave enough to start over, maybe I can too. I secretly felt encouraged.”
6th Time
“This one felt like a soap opera. There was an actual couple sitting at our table. I forgot you had that function. Anyway, they said they had a fight last night, so the girl kept throwing subtle jabs at her boyfriend. The atmosphere was tense but honestly quite entertaining.”
7th Time
“There was a girl with the strongest social energy I’ve ever seen. She said she pushes herself to meet one new person every week and wants to ‘collect’ connections from different fields. That’s why she joined this brunch. I wonder if I’m part of her collection now.”
8th Time
“I was very quiet today. Not because I disliked anyone, I just didn’t quite catch the same wavelength. It was fine though. I focused on eating and listening to everyone’s stories. One person was a history major—it felt like being back in high school.”
9th Time
“Today’s conversation about finance was intense. One of the guests had over 100,000 followers and was a finance KOL. I quietly noted down the investment tools everyone recommended. It felt like getting a bonus while making friends.”
10th Time
“Your matching algorithm is amazing. The whole table felt like a party, full of laughter. That feeling of ‘meeting for the first time but talking like old friends’ actually exists. Thank you.”
11th Time
“The new friends today were all so smart. Two of them were doctors—a dentist and a dermatologist. They basically gave everyone at the table a mini consultation and even recommended the doctors they personally go to. This brunch was totally worth it.”
12th Time
“I met a girl today with more than 300,000 followers. Two people at the table were actually her fans. Joining these brunches really broadens my horizons. That’s the second KOL I’ve met here.”
13th Time
“Today was just about eating. We finished and everyone left separately. I used to think that was boring, but now I realize it’s okay to have days like that. It’s still an interesting kind of experience.”
14th Time
“I talked with a girl about podcasts, and our eyes lit up. Afterward, we walked together to the metro. I was happy. We exchanged Instagram accounts.”
15th Time
“There was a girl I liked at the table today. We added each other on Instagram afterward. She said, ‘I’m actually not good at making friends.’ I laughed, because every time I come here, I think the same thing.”
Human connection has its own kind of magic.
Socializing allows interesting people to meet other interesting people.
If your weekend is free, come and experience it for yourself.
